I am passionate about mathematics and really enjoy helping pupils succeed in a subject I love. I graduated with a first in BSc Mathematics at Lancaster University and am currently studying for an MSc in Applied Mathematics at Imperial College London. I completed my PGCE and teacher training at King's College London, and have 4+ years experience teaching in the classroom and tutoring. I have experience working with SEND students and have taught a wide range of abilities from ages 11-18, including working in a high-achieving grammar school in East London. I believe that the first step to being successful in mathematics is fostering a positive growth mindset, and in sessions will provide a calm and encouraging environment where it is safe to make mistakes and be curious. We will work through a wide range of examples and develop confidence in how to communicate mathematical ideas and approach non-standard problems.
