I’m Valeria Denegri, an Italian residing in the UK for the past five years. I hold a Master’s degree in Languages for International Communication from the University of Genoa (2021), where I also completed an Erasmus exchange at Universidad Autónoma in Madrid (2019). Additionally, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English Languages for Business and Tourism from the University of Genoa (2017), and hold both CEDILS and TEFL certifications (2021).

My career in language education includes teaching Italian and Spanish at institutions such as the University of Liverpool, where I developed and implemented innovative teaching methodologies, and the Italian Society of the University of Oxford. I have experience teaching various levels, from beginners to advanced students, and have also worked as a freelance teacher and examiner for Italian at various schools in Liverpool.

I’ve taught oral classes, integrated reading and writing skills, and used authentic materials for analytical perspectives. My role involved designing and marking assessments, including exams and oral tests, and providing formative feedback. I focus on tailoring language courses to diverse student needs, following the CEFR framework.

I am dedicated to continuous professional development, actively engaging in innovative teaching practices and participating in professional communities.

My recent theater course with the Dante Alighieri Society in Liverpool aims to integrate dramatization techniques into my teaching, enhancing speaking classes. Additionally, my background in public relations, including my role at Teatro Carlo Felice, has honed my organizational and interpersonal skills.
