I have PhD in History and an MLitt in Modern History from the University of Aberdeen, and a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Worcester. I have more than two years experience in tutoring at a university level on subjects ranging from early modern colonisation through to the fall of the Berlin Wall, and my historical interests are even wider.

I can offer guidance on conducting primary research in archives and on using digital resources, and I can help students engage with the wider historiography of their subject.

From essays, to papers, to exams, I adapt my tutoring to the specific needs of the student, to help them develop the skills and knowledge to take on whatever challenges they face in their studies. I consider myself a public historian, and I want to make history exciting and interesting for everyone.
