Hi, I’m Ella, an English literature tutor with a passion for helping students advance their learning and explore the depth and beauty of literature. I hold a degree in English Literature and a Master’s in Modern and Contemporary Writing. I am currently working as a Reading Coach in a secondary school, where I help students improve their reading skills- especially those who are working to catch up to their reading age.

I believe that every student is unique, which is why I tailor my teaching approach to fit each students individual needs and goals. My sessions are all about creating a supportive, engaging space where students feel comfortable exploring texts, asking questions, and developing their critical thinking skills. Whether it analysing classic works by Shakespeare or diving into the intricacies of modern literature, I aim to make literature feel relevant, interesting, and accessible.

With experience working in schools on a one-to-one basis with students, I’m here to help you grow your confidence, understanding and love for reading and literature. Together, we can work towards your goals- whether it’s improving reading comprehension, preparing for exams, or just gaining a deeper appreciation of what literature has to offer. I want my students to get as much as they can from my sessions.
