I’m passionate about helping my students grow in confidence to reach their academic goals.

I have a First Class Honours degree in English Literature, so my knowledge of the subject area is vast. However my absolute strength lies in my flexibility and adaptability. There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to learning, therefore as a tutor I focus on the specific needs of the individual and create lesson plans that incorporate their preferred teaching style.

Alongside my studies as an undergraduate I began tutoring online for a varied age range. My younger students at KS1 & KS2 have predominantly needed help with basic literacy and comprehension skills, focusing on fun and interactive tasks. Whereas for GCSE and A Level students, I have catered to a variety of exam boards within the current UK curriculum, looking at advanced literary devices such as characterisation, structure and theme; poetic analysis such as onomatopoeia, metre and rhythm, alliteration and assonance; and more broadly exam technique and essay structure.
