As an experienced English teacher with a love of all things literature and language, I offer sessions to KS3 and KS4 students.
I understand that learning English can feel overwhelming - especially if lessons feel fast, pressurised, or hard to follow. My teaching style is calm, patient and supportive, with a focus on clarity, building confidence and steady progress.
My Experience:
I have an English degree and teaching qualification (QTS) from British Russell Group universities, as well as a CELTA from the British Council. With over 7 years experience teaching English in the UK and abroad, I have a well-rounded understanding of the challenges students face in English lessons.
In my classes I provide well designed tasks and activities, backed by the latest pedagogical research and my own knowledge of what brings results.
For each student, I create a 5 step plan to address key challenges and difficulties, which provides clear direction for our sessions. As this is shared and referred back to, you will always know where you are and how you are progressing.
Who I work with:
• Students who require targeted support at KS3 and KS4
• Students who struggle with the complexities of English Literature: language analysis, reading comprehension or essay writing
• EAL students who need tailored support to succeed
• Teenagers who need gentle, steady-paced learning
