LESSON STRUCTURE

Initially, an assessment will be done to identify course areas presenting a challenge and knowledge gaps. Jointly, we will build a plan to work on these areas, over an agreed time period.

More complex concepts and theories will be made clear and broken down into bite sized pieces, to aid retention. Together, we will make sure your learning is secure for each topic. Lesson pace and subject materials will be adapted to your specific needs.

Focus will be on exam techniques and the marking scheme, to enable you to achieve the next level. Essay plans and subject specific vocab will be covered, so you can impress the examiner!
Effective use will be made of current business case studies to help you relate theory to real life.
Revision plans will be agreed and memory prompts discussed, so that you feel confident and exam ready.

SUPPORTING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

I am a kind, conscientious tutor, who fully appreciates the challenging involved in grasping complex concepts. I provide regular constructive feedback, on how to improve and actively encourage independent thinking with the aim of achieving subject mastery. Subjects are delivered enthusiastically, with engaging materials, to encourage you to do your best. I am able to adapt to your way of working and have supported SEND students.

I have performed a variety of education rolls for over 20 years : teacher, tutor,(in person and online) exam board exam assessor, exam moderator.

Previous to this, I worked successfully for many years, in Private Banking in the UK and abroad.
